About Elsie's Place

Centrally located just 12 miles equidistant from New Paltz and Newburgh in the hamlet of Wallkill, Elsie's Place is named after "Elsie The Cow," the mascot for Borden Milk Products, which was once based in the hamlet. The restaurant is a gathering place for both locals and other folk who recognize the value of and enjoy our home-cooked meals. We pride ourselves on using fresh ingredients and serving freshly prepared food that is cooked to order. We never serve frozen, portion controlled food that is available from the restaurant suppliers. The menu is an eclectic American menu from crab cakes to homemade pulled pork. We serve half-pound hamburgers that are made fresh along with a generous portion of hand-cut fries. We always have fresh seafood, steaks and pasta on the menu. Open for lunch and dinner, daily.
