About Rondout National Historic District Walking Tours

Offered the last Saturday of the month, departing at 11 a.m. from at the gazebo in T.R. Gallo Park, 73 West Strand St. Hear how immigrants and entrepreneurs developed a thriving maritime village along the terminus for the Delaware and Hudson Canal. View the rich legacy of commercial buildings, cast-iron storefronts, homes and churches built by the immigrant community. Some uphill walking is involved. A brochure of the Stockade District Walking Tour is available at the Friends of Historic Kingston Gallery and at many local businesses. Visit website to print your own copy or to view the brochure on your phone. Tours available July through the end of October. Fee: $10 adults; $5 child under 16.  Free to Friends of Historic Kingston members.Group or private tours can be arranged by special appointment: 845-339-0720. Reservations are required for groups of 10 or more.
